Ecuador continued to earn points on its way to the World Cup with a goalless draw on Thursday with a Brazil team that has struggled in qualifying.

The top six teams from the qualifying round advance directly to the World Cup to be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The seventh-placed team earns the right to compete in the intercontinental playoff.
